As a lifelong North Carolinian, I have been fortunate enough to have lived in several cities throughout the state from the mountains to the coast.  Prior to real estate, my career was in big box retail store management. Upon graduating from East Carolina University, I joined Wal-Mart stores and was transferred to Elkin, NC. Soon after I worked in Hickory, NC and later became the store manager in Taylorsville, NC.  After successfully converting that store into a supercenter, I took an opportunity to join Target stores and relocated to Jacksonville, NC and then on to Wilmington. 

I still remember my first house hunting trip that happened in late October. My wife and I took some time to walk down to the beach only to see everyone in their bathing suits enjoying the beautiful weather. I felt like we had switched seasons as back home the leaves had already turned and winter was well on its way. I remember thinking to myself “I could sure get used to this place!”

After a successful career in retail and working with people to build and ensure customer satisfaction, real estate became a natural fit for me. I think the best part of real estate is that I have the opportunity to exclusively focus on the needs of my client. I strive to form a partnership where I listen to my client’s desires and work to anticipate their needs. The best way to make this happen is to simply put myself into their shoes.  

My wife is a teacher at Parsley Elementary school and we have two daughters Caroline and Lauren.  Lauren is finishing her degree at East Carolina and Caroline has graduated and followed in her mother’s footsteps as a teacher as well.  I am very in tune with school related issues and always advise buyers to make this a major part of their decision making process. Resale values will fluctuate from one district to another as parents strive to keep their children in the school system that they feel most comfortable with.
